"I'm the luckiest man alive, as I was able to marry my best friend and raise my family in such a wonderful and beautiful place.

I want to go to Atlanta and serve this district in a way which will represent the conservative nature of the North Georgia Mountains."

Stephen matriculated to the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) in 1989 and gained a Bachelors degree in History in 1993. After VMI, Stephen enrolled at John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, and after graduation he passed the Georgia Bar Exam on his first attempt. In 1997, he and his wife moved to Union County and he was officially sworn into the practice of law in Blairsville by the Honorable Hugh Stone on June 13, 1997.

Stephen has practiced law in Union County for over 11 years, representing hundreds of individual clients and several corporations in the area. During his time in Blairsville, he served as Enotah Bar President.

In 1996, Stephen married his college sweetheart, Regina Dumouchelle. They met in 1991 while Stephen was a cadet at VMI and while Regina was a freshman at Radford University in Virginia.  The couple dated almost five years before they married in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

The couple have two children, Thomas Jackson Allison, (age 8) and Nathanael Greene Allison (age 6). Both boys attend the Union County Primary School. Stephen volunteers as a history teacher to home school children at the Grace-Co Op in Blairsville.
